A hyperbaric oxygen chamber is a pressurized room where patients breathe pure oxygen to treat a variety of conditions.
How it works
_ The chamber’s air pressure is increased to 1.5 to 3 times higher than normal air pressure.
_ The increased pressure helps the lungs collect more oxygen.
_ The body absorbs more oxygen from the blood, which can help heal wounds, fight infection, and stimulate new blood vessel growth.

How it’s delivered
_ Patients breathe pure oxygen through a head tent
_ The therapy is usually provided once daily for approximately six weeks
_ The therapy must be provided five days a week to be effective
